STARLUX is expanding its international network from its hub at Taichung, Taiwan with a new route from the city to Tokyo.

From March 30, 2026, STARLUX will operate four weekly (every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday) direct flights between Taichung and Tokyo Narita. Using Airbus A321neo aircraft, the new route will support business and tourism to the rapidly growing high-tech industry of southern Taiwan.

According to STARLUX's website, the outbound flight – JX314 – will depart Taichung in the middle in the morning before arriving at Narita in the mid-afternoon. The return flight – JX315 – will depart before sunset and arrive back at Taichung in the evening.

The new Taichung-Narita flights will complement the current thrice-daily flights STARLUX operates to Narita from Taipei Taoyuan International Airport.

With the new route, STARLUX will add to its international flights from Taichung where it currently operates flights from the city to three other destinations in Japan – Kobe, Naha (Okinawa), and Takamatsu – Macau, and Phu Quoc in Vietnam. Ahead of the launch of the Taichung-Narita route, STARLUX will launch a new route from Taichung to the southern Japanese island of Miyakojima starting February 13.
